Henry Krumins
Sales Director, Board of Directors Henry joins GlobalSign as Sales Director and board member and is responsible for managing GlobalSign’s sales groups in EMEA.
Henry joins GlobalSign from GeoTrust where in 2003 he joined as Sales Manager for Europe and significantly expanded GeoTrust's European reseller channel to over 3000 partners. In mid 2004, Henry became the Sales Director for Europe and extended the organisation’s focus on online security, to include document signing, identity authentication solutions and managed services aimed at the enterprise market. Prior to the VeriSign acquisition of GeoTrust in October 2006, the efforts of the European sales team under Henry's direction made a significant contribution to GeoTrust’s rapid worldwide growth and global revenues, reaching leadership positions within many Eu countries.
In late 2006 Henry joined the GMO assembled management team which orchestrated the acquisition of GlobalSign, and as the new Sales Director for EMEA and US is now responsible for managing existing and new customer and partner relationships, and achieving the company's sales targets in these areas.
In 2002, prior to GeoTrust, Henry was Sales Director for Comodo, a UK based start-up Internet security company, where he was responsible for the promotion of its new range of internet security products.
Henry started a career in technical sales working for INCO Alloys in Birmingham, and later joined Leybold Ltd as a Sales Engineer. After progressing quickly to Area Manager, Henry was responsible for doubling turnover from £1.8M to £4.8M within four years. In 1993, Henry joined Sunrise Electronics, the premier European distributor for NEC electronic components, initially as Areas Sales manager. During his position as Area Sales Manager Henry took an uncovered area with a zero turnover to over £2.5M turnover per annum. In 2000, Henry became the Sales Director of Sunrise and was responsible for securing over £17M sales revenue despite a major downturn in the electronics market in the early millennia.
Henry graduated in 1987 from Sheffield University with a BSc (Tech), in Materials Science and Technology.
